Well, it depends on what you mean...Like, the cutting yourself emo? Or the dressing and acting emo?
I dress "emo" and act it too...And I use to cut (And sometimes still relapse and do it again), but yeah...I don't know if that qualifies me to be emo or not...Honestly, I don't care. lol.
Labels bug me too...I just like being ME! Mwahahaha! lol

yah...I'm with you all...I don't use lables or lable myself. But I suppose sometimes I get mad at some people because they go around saying they're 'emo' when they just pretned to be, which bothers me even though I'm not.
I wouldn't even know what I'd be if I were to be labled. I'm kinda...different. lol...
But anyways, to answer your question, I am not and have never been emo.
I think you should just act, dress, talk and everything else the way you want and not worry about the lables. If you are pretty much emo already, then be 'pretty much emo'. Don't worry about having to go emo. If that's what you're like, then be that way.

Where did all these labels come from anyway? Who is the person with the huge book of labels and the descriptions of these labels who says what's emo and what's goth and whatever? Its all the stupid media and crap.
Anyway I say be who you want to be and if who you want to be happens to go under a label then it doens't matter either way. The label isn't what you are its just a label something used to easily classify you.
