Never & But I can't

Never

I am never on your mind
I am never part of your time
I never make you smile
If ever just for awhile.

I am never the one to be told
That it’s me you wish to hold.
I never make your heart race
My love for you a mere waste.

I will never be the one you love
I will never be the one you’re thinking of
I will never be in your heart
I was never there from the start.

These two poems were written Monday after my feelings were hurt really badly, strange how the littlist things a certain person does can effect you.

But I can’t

This really shouldn’t bother me
But it does.

I try to stop caring
But I can’t.
I want to move on
But my heart won’t let me.
I try to be happy
But it makes the pain worst.
I try to mend myself
But now I break all the more.

Your words shouldn’t bother me
But they do.
